And finally...
The dust has settled, the shouting is over and, for some, the bags are packed. Howard is quitting, finally proving that he was thinking what we were thinking all along. Noted anti-abortionist and notorious idiot Liam Fox has thrown his hat into the ring, claiming he'd make the Tories more like the Republicans in the US. If by that he means he'd turn them into a party run by a right-wing dunce, then he just might be right.
The Lib Dems have cause to be celebrating as their populist stance against the war in Iraq seemed to pay off, as does far-left candidate George Galloway, who gave Blair the bloodiest nose of all, but more importantly gave us all a good laugh at Jeremy Paxman's expense.
That's it from Spinon for a while; hopefully when we come back Blair will be gone and someone will actually be talking about overhauling the electoral system, but somehow it seems unlikely.
"Things can only get better," Mr. Blair said eight years ago. We're still waiting...
